Potential telephone scam

Hi,

I have just received a phone call from 02079546197 (probably a spoofed number) telling me that there has been suspicious activity via my sky router and that my service will be blocked unless I press option 1 to speak to a sky rep. Selecting this option probably leads to a premium number charge on your phone. Can’t find any contact re fraud, scams etc on the website only the chatbot that doesn’t help at all. Also can’t find heading here to report suspicious activities. If you read this can you please advise others - also has the now tv customer database been hacked?

It's a phone scam. 

 

Type phone scam under the Community search engine box on the top of the forum page and see how many people have reported it on various threads.

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it.
Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now.
That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.
