Getting Started

I don’t understand how to get started? I move into my new place May 19th, I’ve chosen my package but it says it will charge me £5 today and then my monthly fees. I would like my billing to begin the day I move in, I don’t want to be billed for two weeks that I won’t be there??

The £5 is for delivery of the router. and It will take about 2 weeks for the service to be set up.

You will not be charged the monthly fee until it has gone live.

Best to start early, if you wait until you move in you will be without broadband for a while.

Thank you for your reply. I’m assuming “going live” would be when we book the installation date?

You can't actually "book" an installation date, the date you get from Now will be provisional, it all depends on the vagaries of Openreach.

Going live will be on that installation date.

Or after it, if Openreach hit any ‘unforeseen problems’.

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it. Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now. That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.
If you take an offer that comes with a ‘free trial’ of Boost or another Membership, Cancel them straight away. You will still get the full duration of the trial, and if you decide you do want to continue with one or another of the trial products, just revisit the Cancel, and UnCancel it.
