Engineer being sent out - will I have to pay?

I called customer services today about bad internet connectivity and after doing a line test they said they needed to send an engineer out. In the past with other providers this has cost me a small fortune, so I wondered if anyone had had an engineer sent out before and if so did you have to pay?

Thanks in advance.
