I've had a few instances of this... calling numbers and getting busy tone... call same on Mobile and it gets through fine.
Test of line says there is a known issue reported this morning... INC2687513... but no further info and nobody to contact. What is the issue? When will it be fixed? Could I even dial 999 should it be needed?
Seems support BOT and questions on support forum are a joke. If providing Broadband and calls this needs a proper dedicated call center and fix service.

There IS a call centre and there IS a number to call for the broadband/calls team. If you did a quick search on the forum you’ll have found countless threads for the number to call.

Thanks for link, I had found the number, but it has message saying that there is known issue, then suggests this forum for latest status (could not see anything relating to telephone).
All other options seemed to relate to video or broadband services only.
Phone still not working.
The link indicates landline issues are to be called with the number too.
@Simon-J no idea why the broadband team consistently tell customers to come to the forum for updates. We always point them back to calling the team.
Eventually spoke to someone on Friday, but unlike the Ofcom info where they say that my provide should liaise with likes of OpenReach and provide more info I was simply told that they have same information as me... line test comes back with INC2687513 ... that was that. No help. Seems like a problem effecting others as well, not sure how far/wide. Still faulty Monday PM.
Must be a trunk issue between exchanges as I get dial tone... and Broadband (ADSL2) still works.
