email re increase from May 1st

I received an email advising me that there's an increase in phone calls from May 1st. I then read this email will be sent to affected customers. I pay a monthly fee for an unlimited calls package to landlines and mobiles so wondered how the increase would affect me? Would there simply be an increase in selected/premium numbers? Or if I go over an hours duration? If any could help, I'd be very grateful, thanks Ros

@Anonymous User Yes you're right, the increases only affect you if you dial numbers outside of your inclusive calls (international, premium-rate and special numbers etc) or if you go over the one hour call duration.

There is a slight exception in that 0870/0845 are currently included in your anytime calls package, but from 1st May these won't be covered and you will charged accordingly. Most companies have  moved away from 0870/0845 numbers and now use 03 numbers, which are included in your package so you probably won't notice a difference.

However if you do need to use 0870/0845 numbers you might want to check out the following website which lets you look up if a company has a local/03 number you can use instead.

You'll find full details of the call tariff from May here
