Unknown charging for £1

Hi, I just registered the now broadband. It charged £5 for delivery fee first, then charged £1 for unknown by Now London GB.

Does anyone know what's that? Thanks!

Only the £5 will come off, the £1 as stated earlier is not a payment. It is to make sure money is in the account.

FYI that I do not work for NOW, just a NOW customer trying to help

That is probably just a check charge on your payment card and should be returned almost immediately, if taken at all.

Just to follow-up from @redchiz1 the £1 is a holding deposit to make sure your account has money in it. Rest assured the £1 will never get taken out.

Have you recently signed up for any NOW services? These look like card verification payments, which aren't actually taken, although why you would have two appear I'm not sure.

As stated before up thread it’s a £1 pending transaction to make sure you have money I. The account.

Have you updated the card details recently?

This £1 will not come off.
