Unauthorised payment- ap

A payment for Boost of £6 has been debited to my credit card . I did not sign up for Boost. This is an unauthorised payment and I will be taking this further. Have any other subscibers suffered this payment in error?Do check your credit card statements-this has happened before with NOW TV and is totally unacceptable.

@Martin5

Most offers with NOW provide a 7 day free trial of boost then £6 unless cancelled. Did you take out any new offers recently?

For any chance of refund you need to speak with staff via live chat. Which can be accessed by clicking the 'How to get in touch' drop down.

FYI that I do not work for NOW, just a NOW customer trying to help

@Martin5

You signed up for a free trial of Boost, though, a preset option on the form for the one thing you thought you were buying, that you didn’t unset.

So you got a free trial of it, though you probably didn’t notice, and when that ended without you cancelling it, it turned into a paid subscription.

If you call Now on this, though, in the way that @gavs82008 describes above, Now will immediately cave in and credit it back to you. i.e. when they’ve been rumbled, they know they’ve been rumbled, and don’t put up a fight in the slightest.

Which would be a remarkably magnanimous thing for a company to do if they thought they had got your agreement to this fair and square.

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it. Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now. That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.
