Switching from NowTv Skysports package to BT Big Sport Package

Hi,

 

Has anyone done this please? I can get all the sports channels I want with the BT Big Sport package but it says it works in conjunction with NOW TV sport services. Does anyone know if it is linked to my current account or do I need to start from fresh?

Hi @Anonymous User 

 

You can either get BT to transfer your NOW account details across to BT TV (if you have any credit from NOW on your NOW account from my understanding it will be lost and can't be transferred).

 

Or cancel your TV Memberships with NOW and use a new email address with BT.

 

One thing that does appeal to me with BT TV (i used to be a customer a long time ago) is the option to record the live NOW channels from the BT TV Guide on their recordable BT Youview box.

On schnapps option 2, you could consider cancelling your NOW memberships and then signing up for BT with your existing NOW account.

 

I signed up to BT VIP back in December. I did it by telephoning BT. When BT man was setting me up for NOW, it detected that I already had a NOW account. It turned out that I had signed up for a NOW sports day pass way back in 2020. I had used the same email address when signing up with BT which is why it detected that I already had a NOW account.

 

Being able to record live sport is great if you want to time shift and watch an event as live. Eurosport is a nice bonus if you sign up to VIP or Big sport. You'll need to add Boost if you want HD with Big sport.

 

On schnapps option 1, I have no idea whether you can get a refund from NOW i. As Schnapps says, give BT a bell.
