I have been with NOW for quite some time. I had just gone out of contract with BT so took a look at our current packages. It worked out cheaper to have the Super Sport deal with BT incorporating NOW (SKY sports and the new TNT sports (old BT Sports) I also dropped the home phone and boosted our package and it was still cheaper.
BT told me that NOW would know that I had changed and to notify them. I said I would later that day. wanted to ensure we could watch the footie
NOW took the payment yesterday. Does this mean a double payment, BT and NOW and if so can I get a refund and who from? I checked the NOW account and it says NOW provided by BT

I’m glad you are now sorted, but the advice from BT was utterly wrong. When you let BT know that you want Now through them, and not directly, BT TV are supposed to contact Now and make all the transfer arrangements on your behalf.
Quite probably, BT TV did exactly that, and the advisor you spoke to was ill-informed. Certainly, the very competent mods on the BT TV community despair of them.
As you are now with BT, your future Now support will come from them. You may do better on the BT TV Community, if you encounter any difficulties with BT telephone support in the future.

Direct Now subscribers who look at this BT TV Community are advised to keep a box of tissues handy for when they burst into tears at the contrast between Now online support and BT TV online support 😢
