Was the problem occurring when watching a rented movie from Sky Store on a NowTV box, if so a couple of people have reported this issue recently.
If this is the case I would suggest possibly contacting Sky Store to see if they can offer you a refund or some sort of a movie credit (here's a link below for Sky Store Help Centre).
