Your account is NOT tied to the box, it can be accessed from any suitable device and also the website itself. If you plan to keep your account active then I would strongly suggest to put a payment PIN on it.

For any chance of refund you must speak to staff via live chat. Make sure you click the ‘How to get in touch’ drop down when signed in.

If you don’t want to keep your account, then you’ll need to email support.

It looks like @Traceylynn66 sold a box a year ago without resetting it first 😢
So it’s still got her live Now account on it, albeit without any memberships, and whoever has it now has just started a new membership (discounted Sports?) as she hadn’t set a Payment PIN either, which of course she is being billed for.
The current owner of her box probably doesn’t know the password, but the steps to follow are on this Help page:-
https://help.nowtv.com/article/managing-my-devices
Change password first, then sign out of all devices, as shown.
This will zap the user, whoever and wherever they are.
Then set a Payment PIN, if not set up already, and cancel whatever memberships are fraudulently set up.
Finally, talk to Now on live Chat as above, and see if any refund is possible.
It’s easily done to dispose of a TV, box or Stick with live accounts on it, instead of resetting it first (I’ve done it myself, though only within the family), but it can be an open chequebook to a fraudster, who either doesn’t care who gets defrauded, or thinks it’s a victimless crime when it isn’t.
So always factory reset any such device before disposal!
