Problem viewing with Sky Sports Mobile Month Pass

I recently bought the mobile sports pass and when I try to watch one of the included channels I receive a message saying: Viewing Stopped. Sorry we don't support hdmi streaming to your TV from mobile devices.....

However I'm not trying to stream anything, my TV is off, I'm using a phone not a tablet, and I get the error on both 4g and WiFi.

I've tried help via live chat several times but each time the chat times out before I get a response, so maybe somebody here can help.....
