Price increase of £3.50 to a fixed annual contract

NowTV, how is this possible? I have just renewed my contract for 1 year at an agreed price of £24/month. How can you suddenly just increase it to £27.50? is this not breach of contract????

@SueB

Will it not be inflation?
As I got shafted with a £5 increase with BT despite being contracted to 2 years.

I have to wonder what the point of a contract is if they can just increase
prices like this, doesnt seem legal

We don’t like it but it’s just how it is I’m afraid. When I moaned about it with BT it was a tough s**t reaction more or less.

Obviously not the same como it this will give you an idea about the CPI etc https://www.bt.com/tell-me-more

@SueB you won't get any answers here as this is a customer to customer forum. Your best bet is to call the broadband team. Number in the link below.

In the same boat as @gavs82008, I specifically asked before joining in March as that's why I left my previous provider.

NOW do not have a fixed + CPI increase built in to contracts, unlike BT and most others. Their T&Cs do however allow for price increases at any time, subject to 30 days notice. Within that notice period you are free to leave without paying any early termination charges.

I haven't been notified about the price rise yet. As well as the email do you get a notification in "My Account", "My Broadband and Calls", "Messages" / "My Documents".
