Oh dear I think I have made a mistake!

So, I accidentally made a false account to gain access to another free trial. The problem is it automatically used my card details, and now I’m being charged twice. I’ve managed to cancel one payment however as unable to cancel the other because I cannot remember the password to the false account. Is there any way Now Tv can cancel the transaction for me if I were to give them the false accounts email (the email is fake aswell) or will I have to contact my bank and get them to cancel the transaction?

That was some accident Smiley Tongue

But NowTV will know which accounts it is charging for, if you give them your (real) bank details on Live Chat, and will no doubt refund you for everything beyond the minimum subscription for the free trial you weren’t entitled to.

Get in Touch (all the options, and the best place to start):-

https://help.nowtv.com/gb/get-in-touch/

On a screen with big buttons all around, you may find the link you need is under a tiny green arrow, so be vigilant.

Live Chat and Send Us a Message:-

https://help.nowtv.com/contact-us/managing-my-devices

On Live Chat, when you can get onto it, keep your answers short, sweet and prompt, or it will time out on you.

If the person you are talking to doesn’t seem able to understand your issue, ask to be escalated to the next level of help.

I think it is past time that NowTV should insist on validating new accounts via email, as well as via bank details, for the protection of both parties involved, as well as the unwitting owners of fake or fat fingered email addresses that turn out to be real, and belong to somebody.

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it.
Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now.
That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.

Let's hope so especially as no fake details were required.
