Entertainment Membership wrongly charged


For my Entertainment Membership it charged £6.99, from beginning without any trial period. While asking for refund, BOT is not proceding. Also while trying to cancel the membership within trial period, it is saying I am in 6 month contract.

Please help me cancel and refund for my Entertainment Membership.





There is no trial period for an Entertainment Membership taken out on its own. And it sounds like you have taken the 6 months minimum offer. And don’t get tangled up with the Nowbot, as it is a waste of time.

Instead, get onto Now Live Chat tomorrow after 8am, and tell them you would like to leave now, inside the 14-day cooling-off period.

They can charge you pro-rata for the days you have had the membership, but be grateful you are getting out with an almost whole coat if you do.

Avoid ‘Get Help Quickly’ on this screen. As you have found, this leads to the Nowbot, an AI bot that might well assist you in navigating the Help; but as you need to talk to Live Chat, you have already gone beyond that, and all the Nowbot can bring you is frustration.

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it. Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now. That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.
