Cancel Now online ACCOUNT (not membership)

I just tried signing up and creating an account.

Given I am not in the UK right now, it wouldn't let me pay for the chosen membership.

Now I have this online account under my e-mail with no active membership plan. I've only found the option to close a paying membership, but not this login altogether if I'm not paying for a plan.

I won't be using the service at all: how can I cancel it completely? And get the refund on the random £1.00 I got charged from trying to choose a membership (with no success)?

Thank you.

You say you are not in the UK right now, but won’t you want this account when you come back?

You weren’t charged the £1. It was reserved on your card (i.e. just pushed your credit/spending limit down by £1 temporarily), and the reserve will be soon released.

To get the account deleted though, email customerservices @ nowtv.com (without the spaces) and ask for this to be done.

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it. Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now. That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.
