i know that you can stream 3 devices at a time but hours many devices can you register?

You don't register devices as such. Each time you view on a different one it will become active until you reach a limit of six. Then if you want to use another the one used longest ago will drop from the list.

You can log in to hundreds of devices like Netflix and other services. Using the account management like @redchiz1 will show you the last 6 devices which was used to stream content.
