Billed for items not requested

Hello

I am looking for help please.

I have just been billed for "Entertainment" package (£9.99) and "Boost" (I do not even know what this is) (£6.00) per month despite not asking for either. I am well over 70 years old and want neither. I barely use my NOW tv  as it is.

Can someone please help me find out why I was billed and if I can get a refund please?

Thank you.

You don't get any account related issues sorted on here, this must be managed by yourself.

If you plan to keep your account then place a payment PIN on it.

For any chance or a refund you need to speak with staff via live chat. By clicking "chat online" within the green box, make sure not to hit "get help quicker" as this is a bot.

To close your account completely you need to email support. See address in the picture below.

FYI that I do not work for NOW, just a NOW customer trying to help

There have been a few reports of this lately.

My guess is that Now is offering Cinema, Entertainment and Boost as a package to new membership purchasers, possibly well buried in the small print, and people are taking the offer thinking they are only buying the one membership they actually want.

And then pow! Now bill them for all three.

At full price too, just to add insult to injury, so it’s not even a good offer to take advantage of 😢

@Jsm1 , how do you think this happened to you? As I describe, or something different?

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it. Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now. That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.

Hi Roy - I did not click on anything! I have had the stick for at least2 years so not such a new member. I am unsure how this has happened.

Hmmm. Definitely set a Payment PIN, then. Anybody with access to whatever the Stick is plugged into, who might have bought these memberships? Even a two year old child, which we seem to get a few times?
