Additional billing

Hi I signed up for a trial package of Now entertainment at £11.98, I've noticed a £1 charge which I assume is an authorisation payment but have since been billed an additional £5 for boost almost a week later. I will double check but this was either included in the original offer or not something I signed up for.

Regards

Stu

It is part of the offer. You get a week free boost, then it’s £5 a month unless cancelled.

Yeah thanks I finally found that, cancelled it and then they offered it for £2 so I've went with that as I didn't realise it was standard definition, last time I let my missus order anything lol as I wouldn't have ordered it. Who broadcasts in standard definition when we mostly all have 4k tvs.

While it certainly isn’t 4K, and isn’t even Full HD unless you have Boost, it’s 720p, ‘HD Ready’, which is rather better than standard definition.

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it. Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now. That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.

Yeah I don't think I could watch it without boost. Will see how the trial goes and decide whether to get a box etc.

All you need is one of the compatible devices mentioned on the link below.

You will be very lucky to get a device by NOW because they no longer sell them. If you don't have a device I would strongly recommend an Amazon Fire Stick or a full blown Roku Stick.

Yeah I meant a more generic device like a stick, I play it on my ps4 which isn't ideal as it obviously uses a lot of power just to use as a streaming device.

I'll see how much use the family make of it before investing more cash.
