Marvellous March is upon us! The next 31 days are absolutely filled with awesome sporting action; the football season reaches ‘squeaky bum time’, and the tyres begin squeaking as the new Formula 1 season gets underway. And all the while, the Cricket World Cup reaches what it sure to be a thrilling conclusion. Sounds like a lot, no? Well, let us talk you through it…

The Premier League is really getting into full swing, as the title race and the Champions League chase begin to hot up. On the 22nd, we have the mother, father and a few uncles of football days. First, Liverpool take on Manchester United at Anfield, before El Clasico captivates us once more.

Both United and Liverpool look set to be locked in a battle for a precious Champions League place until the end of the season, so their clash this month could well be decisive. Liverpool are in incredible form at time of writing, while United are starting to stutter after a strong winter.

Liverpool v Man United. It's never dull.

As for our little Spanish classic, Barcelona v Real Madrid looks like being a title decider…again. Lionel Messi and co take on Cristiano Ronaldo’s gang at Camp Nou. With the best players going head to head and the stakes so high, this is not a game to be missed. El Clasico is more than a game, it’s an institution.

Elsewhere, we have more football action as Chelsea face Tottenham in the Capital One Cup final. The first major trophy of the season is up for grabs in a repeat of the 2008 final, although it would be quite a shock if Spurs were to repeat their win of seven years ago. That said, this is the cup, and anything can happen. Oh, and expect Didier Drogba to score. He ALWAYS scores at Wembley.

From huge battles on our shores to the fastest show on earth. Lewis Hamilton will be looking to defend his Formula One Driver’s crown as the 2015 season gets underway in Melbourne. The Mercedes will once again be incredibly tough to beat this time around. However, expect Red Bull, Williams and Ferrari to put the pressure on. Lewis had some pretty bad luck in Australia last year, can he take the victory this time?

Can Lewis Hamilton defend his crown?

And staying in the southern hemisphere, the Cricket World Cup reaches its climax. With hosts Australia and New Zealand looking in awesome form, you’d be brave to bet against one of them lifting the trophy at the end of the month. That said, holders India and South Africa will have something to say about that! Of course, we’ll be holding out hope that England will stun the world and take the trophy, but we’re not THAT positive!

However, such is the unpredictability of sport, no one can say what will or won’t happen. Therefore, your best bet is to get comfy and enjoy the ride, as a massive month of sporting action unfolds in front of you. You bring the snacks, we’ll sort out the entertainment. See you then!
