Thursday
We know what you’re thinking: “There’s never much good sport on a Thursday, right?” Wrong! We have the second leg of the latest round of Copa del Rey fixtures. So let Messi, Ronaldo, Suarez, Bale and Koke entertain you this Thursday.

Barcelona put talk of a crisis behind them with a crushing win over Elche in the first leg, but Real Madrid will have to be at their best to overturn a 2-0 deficit from the first leg of their match against city rivals Atletico. Either way, they will be cracking games, so tune in from 6:30p.m and feast upon the best football Spain has to offer.

Can Ronaldo work more miracles against Atletico?

Friday
We assume you’re familiar with the story by now, right? England go to Australia full of optimism, with an exciting new team, ready to take on the world. And then it goes a bit wrong.

Maybe not this time. England’s World Cup preparations begin in earnest on Friday morning as they take on the Aussies. There’s no excuse not to watch this one. Even the early morning start. Get a lot of coffee ready and start watching from 3a.m to catch the latest chapter of England’s ODI journey.

Australia have home advantage. England have Moeen Ali.

Saturday
Ahhh Saturday, so nice to see you. We’ve got action from the SPL and La Liga as well as two European Rugby Champions Cup matches, but it’s English football which will tickle your fancy as the perfect start to the weekend.

We begin with the ‘Clough Cup’ as Derby take on Nottingham Forest in a huge East Midlands derby. Derby have been in fine form and look good for promotion to the Premier League, while Forest are on a terrible run. Form often goes out the window in these matches though, so tune in from midday to catch what should be an excellent game.

Later on, Newcastle host Southampton in the Premier League. The Saints continue to surprise us all, with their win at Old Trafford last weekend the latest feather in a cap which is now…full of feathers. The Toon - still looking for a new manager - could do with a win to kick-start a season which has seen plenty of ups and downs. This one could go either way, and it’s available from 4:45 on Saturday.

Can Newcastle gain revenge after their 4-0 thrashing at St Mary's earlier this season?

Sunday
And then it’s Sunday. A super, stupendous Sunday.

We start with West Ham vs Hull (from 12:30p.m) at Upton Park. The Hammers’ excellent season has suffered a few minor blips of late, but their incredible midweek FA Cup win over Everton may just give them a boost. A win against a Hull side which is now in the relegation zone would get the Hammers back on track. Don’t expect Steve Bruce to make it easy for his old friend Sam Allardyce in what we affectionately call the ‘Dad dance derby’.

Allardyce and Bruce. The best of friends.

And then it’s the big one. The main event. The pièce de résistance.
Manchester City take on Arsenal in what promises to be one of the games of the season so far. The Citizens thumped the Gunners in this fixture last season, but Arsenal are unpredictable in the extreme. The match sees the hotly-anticipated match-up between Sergio Aguero and Alexis Sanchez. We can’t wait.

Aguero vs Alexis. Game on.

And we finish the weekend with the best four teams in this season’s NFL.

First, from 7:30p.m, the Seattle Seahawks host the Green Bay Packers. Seattle are formidable at home, but Aaron Rodgers (even effectively on one leg) is capable of cutting them down to size.
Then from 11:30p.m, the New England Patriots face the Indianapolis Colts. With a place at the Super Bowl the incentive, expect both sides to batter the living daylights out of each other. And you can watch it from a nice, comfy sofa.

Can Aaron Rodgers perform another miracle in Seattle?

Monday
Monday Night Football sees Everton face West Brom at Goodison Park. Everton’s season has seen plenty of setbacks, and their chances of a European place are growing slimmer by the match. They face another test at 7p.m as Tony Pulis’s West Brom come to town. The Welshman’s appointment is seen as almost a guarantee of survival, will the Baggies take a huge step towards safety here?

Roberto Martinez needs a result. Tony Pulis stands in his way.

Tuesday and Wednesday
And as we move into midweek, we have two Capital One Cup semi-finals for you to enjoy. First, Liverpool take on Chelsea at Anfield, before Tottenham host Sheffield United.

Chelsea have been almost unbeatable at times this season, and claimed an impressive win against Liverpool earlier in the season. However, Chelsea are starting to show small signs of weakness, while Liverpool are picking up form. Expect this tie to be a nail-biter, and catch every minute from an emotionally-charged night at Anfield on Tuesday from 7p.m.

Chelsea at Anfield. We've been here before...

On Wednesday, Spurs are up against the surprise package in this year’s tournament. Sheffield United’s recent cup record has been outstanding, and they will look to produce one more shock in order to get to Wembley. Tottenham are in decent form themselves though, and the odds favour the Londoners. However , it’s the cup, and (cliché alert) anything can happen. Tune in from 7.30p.m to see if the Blades can cut another Premier League team down to size.

So there you have it. A massive week of sport for you to enjoy, with something for everyone every day. Expect thrills spills, goals and gaffes, and you can have them all for just £10.99 with a Sky Sports Week Pass. You’re welcome.
