NOW TV causing PS4 to crash

Unfortunately, every single time I try to watch a TV or movie on NOW TV, at some point it shows the buffering icon and then my PS4 controller becomes completely unresponsive. The only way I'm able to fix it is by completely switching off my Playstation. This problem only occurs on the NOW TV app, not on any other streaming apps. I've googled this issue and only found posts related to PS3. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Hi Andy,

Thank you for your help! I do have a BT router, so I'll disable Smart Setup then see what happens.

Sorry to hear that your PS4 is crashing.

 

Just wondering if you are with BT for your Internet service ?

 

If you are can you disable Smart Setup from within the routers menu.

 

Also might be worthwhile deleting the NOW TV App, any stored data for the app and then reinstalling.

 

If that doesn't help try rebuilding the database, Instructions here 🙂
